Brown Rudnick Again Achieves Mansfield Certification, Underscoring Its Commitment to DEI

Brown Rudnick has achieved Mansfield Certification for the fifth year in a row, reinforcing the firm's dedication to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the legal profession.

Brown Rudnick renewed its commitment to participate in the Diversity Lab Mansfield Rule certification process, which measures whether law firms have affirmatively considered at least 30 percent women, underrepresented racial/ethnic groups, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities for leadership and governance roles, promotions to partner, formal client pitch opportunities and senior lateral positions.

The rule is named after Arabella Mansfield, the first woman admitted to the practice of law in the United States. It traces its origin to the 2016 Women in Law Hackathon hosted by Diversity Lab in collaboration with Bloomberg Law and Stanford Law School.

"We are proud of this accomplishment, which recognizes our ongoing efforts to ensure everyone at Brown Rudnick has an opportunity to advance and succeed," said Meredith Joseph, director of diversity, equity & inclusion and pro bono counsel. "Our commitment to creating an inclusive work environment is consistent with our core values."
