Smart AI-based application analyzes image quality and field of view

Axis Communications announces a smart, AI-based analytics application that monitors the camera image to ensure the images captured are always useful for live viewing, recordings, and running analytics.

AXIS Image Health Analytics sends a notification if the image provided by a camera changes, if image quality degrades, or if the current scene is not as expected. Pre-installed on Axis Cameras with AXIS OS version 11.11 or later, it makes it possible to overview and maintain image quality at multiple cameras on multiple sites 24 seven. It generates a standard Axis event and because it's compliant with ONVIF standard, it can be used with most VMSs.

This smart application sends a notification if the image is blocked, degraded, under exposed or redirected. System integrators and operators can quickly provide maintenance advice from remote and they don't need to manually check individual video streams from separate sites-all this information is displayed directly in the VMS.
