The George Washington Museum Education Program(MEP) celebrated its 50th anniversary in October as well as the launch of the commemorative publication, "Museum Change Agents Making the World a Better Place," edited by Lotte Lent and Greg Stevens.

The GW Museum and the Textile Museum hosted an event last month to commemorate five decades of MEP.

More than 100 guests attended, including alumni and current students representing each decade of the program, as well as MEP colleagues and friends. GW officials shared remarks highlighting the history, legacy and impact of MEP. Welcome remarks were provided by John Wetenhall, director of the George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum. Speakers included President Ellen M. Granberg, Provost Christopher Bracey and Michael Feuer, the dean of the Graduate School of Education and Human Development.
