WASHINGTON - October 18, 2024 - Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP represented Kiswire in a recent settlement with U.S. Customs and Border Protection for a refund of more than $3 million in antidumping duty deposits.
MMM represented steel cord producer Kiswire in an action against U.S. Customs and Border Protection seeking recovery of more than three million in antidumping duty deposits and interest on tire rod cord wire from South Korea. The antidumping duty order covering Kiswire's specific imports had been revoked. Through MMM's legal counsel, Kiswire and the U.S. government ultimately agreed to a settlement payment of the entire amount of duties in dispute, plus interest.
The MMM team was led by Will Planert and included Mary Hodgins, Nick Duffey, and Jordan Fleischer.
