Mayor's Message - November 2024

Dear Residents,

The month of November fills us with feelings of gratitude, long evenings spent with family, and the festive energy of the upcoming holiday season. I want to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation to the men and women who have served our country in the Armed Forces. Our community here in Aliso Viejo is fortunate to be home to many veterans, and we owe them an immense debt of gratitude for their sacrifices, their courage, and their unwavering commitment to protecting our freedoms. This Veterans Day, we honor you. Your service and sacrifices have shaped the very fabric of our nation, and we stand united in recognition of your bravery. I encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of this day and thank a veteran in your life. If you haven't already, I invite you to watch our annual Veterans Day video, where we pay tribute to our local heroes.

In addition to honoring our veterans, I am excited to announce two upcoming community events that are sure to bring joy to all in the coming weeks! We invite you to join us for our 7th Annual All Is Bright Holiday Celebration & Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday, December 5, at Aliso Viejo Town Center. This popular event will be a heartwarming celebration of the holiday season, featuring live music, entertainment, and, of course, the lighting of our 22-foot community tree. Come together with us to celebrate the season of giving and joy! For more information, please visit our website.

Shortly after our tree lighting ceremony, on Saturday, December 14, we will hold our annual Crafts with the Clauses event! This festive morning is perfect for families, and will include holiday crafts, fun activities, and the opportunity to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. It's a great way to kick off the holiday season and make lasting memories with your loved ones. For more details, please visit our website and be sure to register to secure your spot.

As always, I am proud of the spirit of this community, and I am thankful for each and every one of you. Let's take this month to honor our veterans and come together in celebration as we enter the holiday season.
