Marin County - Caltrans is scheduled to perform a sign structure project on Southbound US-101 at Spencer Avenue in Sausalito from Friday, Sept. 27 to Sunday, Sept. 29. Work includes drilling and electrical work as crews will be relocating and reconstructing the sign structure at the Spencer off-ramp.

The Spencer Avenue off-ramp on Southbound US-101 will be closed on Friday, Sept. 27 from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the next morning. Work will start again at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28 and last until 7 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29.

The two far-right lanes on Southbound US-101 will be closed during construction hours. At least two lanes will be open for traffic.

Detour for Spencer off-ramp closure:

Continue driving Southbound US-101
Take the Alexander Avenue off-ramp.
Take a right at the stop sign on Alexander.
Take a right onto Northbound US-101
Take the off-ramp for Spencer Avenue.

The Spencer Avenue bus stop will be closed during construction hours. The Spencer Avenue Park and Ride will be open but only accessible from the Northbound US-101 side.

Caltrans will turn on Changeable Message Signs (CMS) to notify the public ahead of time.

The project will affect traffic heading onto the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco.

All construction depends on weather.

Work is scheduled to continue on this project in October when crews will install the new sign structure.
