BJS is seeking a Visual Information Specialist to serve in the Communications Unit of the Planning and Operations division. Job duties include but are not limited to-

• maintaining currency with the latest web technology, tools, methods, digital publication manuals, web page template generation, governing standards, and authoring procedural documentation
• ensuring that web content is clear, accurate, compelling, and fitting for an organization's role as a federal statistical agency
• supporting production and marketing of original digital products like blogs, graphics, infographics and other multimedia
• creating visuals to complement text-based content in social media platforms
• providing digital and social media content expertise and skilled technical assistance to supervisors and team, keeping current with evolving modes of digital communication and effective ways to enhance outreach efforts.
