Nationally, UToledo ranked 103, up 10 spots from the prior year. A total of 304 colleges and universities made this year's list.
"This recognition goes to show that our institution truly is veteran friendly," said Eric Buetikofer, UToledo director of military and veteran affairs. "Our commitment to supporting the unique needs of our military-connected students is part of the culture of our University, and we're proud to serve those students."
UToledo currently has more than 360 military-connected students enrolled, which includes veterans, active-duty personnel, members of the national guard and their dependents.
"We are fully committed to ensuring student veterans and other military-connected students are well-connected to the resources they need to be successful in their education," Buetikofer said. "We're also proud of our efforts to reach the public in general, like with our upcoming veteran's appreciation event. That community involvement is something that sets us apart from other schools."
UToledo will host its 20th annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast and Resource Fair on Monday, Nov. 11.
