Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Filip Ivanović and Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorčević hosted today a meeting with ambassadors of the member states of the informal "Friends of the Western Balkans" group (Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Slovakia, Slovenia), as well as the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro and the Deputy Head of Mission of Hungary, the country currently holding the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The meeting focused on Montenegro's significant achievements in the European integration process during 2024. The hosts took the opportunity to express gratitude for the continuous and unwavering support provided by the member states on Montenegro's European path.
This meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments and share expectations that 2025 will bring even more significant milestones in Montenegro's EU accession process, emphasized Deputy Prime Minister Ivanović.
Through constructive dialogue, the meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the "Friends of the Western Balkans" group to further supporting Montenegro on its path toward full EU membership.
