TR Uckfield Staff Donate to Foodbank to Support Local Community This Christmas

With Christmas fast approaching, the team at TR Uckfield in East Sussex has generously organised a festive collection for Uckfield Foodbank. The initiative aims to support the local community during the holiday season, addressing the increased need for food and essentials.

Uckfield Foodbank, part of the nationwide Trussell Trust network, provides three days of nutritionally balanced emergency food to individuals and families in crisis. The foodbank collaborates with over 40 local agencies and relies on community donations and volunteers to deliver its vital service. Annually, the foodbank distributes approximately 30,521kilograms of food-the equivalent of 360 supermarket trolleys-and supports efforts to combat hunger and poverty in the region.

For the Christmas collection, the charity has highlighted a need for holiday-specific items, including cranberry sauce, gravy granules, stuffing mix, selection boxes, boxed biscuits, and non-alcoholic Christmas puddings and pies. Additionally, staples like tinned and dried foods, as well as toiletries, are always welcome.
