State Police in Troop G make notable DWI arrests 11/11- 11/20

On November 11, 2024, at about 6:23 p.m., State Police of Wilton responded to the report of a crash at the intersection of State Route 9 and Reynolds Road in Moreau, NY. The investigation determined a vehicle being driver by Jarod B. Nichols, 42, of Gansevoort, NY, was traveling north on State Route 9 when it struck a vehicle stopped at a red light, which pushed that vehicle into the vehicle stopped in front of it. No injuries were reported as a result of the collision. Nichols was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Wilton for processing, where he recorded a 0.23% BAC. Further investigation discovered Nichols has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. He was issued tickets returnable to the Moreau Town Court on December 4, 2024, and was released to a sober third party.

On November 12, 2024, at about 4:30 p.m., State Police of Schodack received a walk-in complaint. The complainant identified themselves as Louis Lippincott, 48, of Wynantskill, NY. Following the initial interview, it was determined Lippincott had driven to SP Sand Lake allegedly impaired, and he was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. He was processed at SP Sand Lake, where he recorded a 0.22% BAC. Lippincott was issued tickets returnable to the Sand Lake Town Court on November 18, 2024, and turned over to a sober third party.

On November 13, 2024, at about 2:21 a.m. State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol stopped a vehicle on Washington Avenue in Albany, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Alif K. Neeley, 43, of Albany, NY. Neeley was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Latham for processing, where he recorded a 0.18% BAC. Neeley was issued tickets returnable to the Albany City Court on December 2, 2024, and released.

On November 14, 2024, at about 9:37 p.m., State Police of New Scotland stopped a vehicle on Central Avenue in Colonie, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Keion J. Kirkley, 30, of Slingerland, NY. Kirkley was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by the combined influence of Drugs or of Alcohol and any Drug or Drugs and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Latham for processing, where he refused to provide samples to determine the alcohol and drug content of his blood. Further investigation discovered Kirkley has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years and did not possess a valid driver's license. Kirkley was issued tickets returnable to the Colonie Town Court on December 12, 2024, and released.

On November 16, 2024, at about 2:09 a.m. State Police of Wilton stopped a vehicle on I-87 in Saratoga Springs, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Sabrina M. Anderson, 34, of Schaghticoke, NY. Anderson was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Wilton for processing, where she recorded a 0.22% BAC. Anderson was issued tickets returnable to the Saratoga Springs City Court on November 26, 2024, and released.

On November 16, 2024, at about 5:19 p.m., State Police of Schodack responded to the reports of a vehicle crash off the roadway of the I-90 off-ramp to exit 12 in Schodack, NY. The driver, who was uninjured, was identified as David L. Watrous, 56, of Guilford, CT. Watrous was arrested for Driving While intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Latham for processing, where he recorded a 0.19% BAC. Watrous was issued tickets returnable to the Schodack Town Court on December 4, 2024, and released.

On November 17, 2024, at about 1:33 a.m. State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol stopped a vehicle on Clinton Avenue in the city of Albany, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was later identified as Raheem M. Brown, 42, of Troy, NY., and subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Latham for processing where he recorded a 0.08% BAC. Further interview of Brown determined he had a previous DWI conviction within the last ten years. Brown was issued several uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Albany City Court on December 3, 2024.

On November 17, 2024, at about 9:06 p.m., State Police of New Scotland stopped a vehicle on Central Avenue in Albany, NY. The driver was identified as Jorge M. Zumba, 23, of Albany, NY. Zumba was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Latham for processing, where he recorded a 0.13% BAC. Further investigation discovered Zumba has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years and did not have a valid driver's license. He was issued tickets returnable to the Albany City Court on December 9, 2024, and released.
