Today, Administrator Samantha Power spoke with UNICEF Executive Director Cathy Russell. They discussed next steps for the Partnership for a Lead-Free Future(link is external), a USAID and UN-led initiative to end childhood lead poisoning in low- and middle-income countries, that was launched on the sidelines of the 79th United Nations General Assembly in September 2024. They also discussed critical efforts to meet ongoing health and humanitarian needs in Gaza.
