Students Encouraged to Apply to Serve on Fargo Youth Initiative

Applications will be reviewed beginning on Friday, November 15

The City of Fargo currently has openings on its Fargo Youth Initiative, a student-led advisory body to the Fargo City Commission. Students in grades 9 through 11 are encouraged to apply using the application available at The City of Fargo website. Applications will begin to be reviewed on Friday, November 15, and applying before that date is encouraged and appreciated.

Name of Board: Fargo Youth Initiative

Meeting Logistics: One monthly Sunday meeting and intermittent subcommittee meetings as needed

Average Time Commitment: One to 10 hours per month

Commission Responsibilities:

  1. To serve as a liaison between The City of Fargo and the youth of Fargo.
  2. To investigate needs, problems and issues affecting the youth of Fargo.
  3. Research issues and make policy or project recommendations to the Fargo City Commission.
