ACEA Oil Sequences 2024 - Heavy-duty engines

The 2024 edition of ACEA Oil Sequences for Heavy-Duty Engines replaces the 2022 edition and addresses engine developments that are driven by a combination of regulatory and performance needs, complemented by necessary test maintenance requirements.

Heavy-duty oil sequences

ACEA members that manufacture heavy-duty vehicles are developing new engine powertrain systems to continue to improve fuel efficiency and deliver the higher performance expected from customers, while also meeting the latest stringent pollutant emission requirements. A new engine oil category F01 is introduced, which has specific viscosity requirements in comparison to E11-24 oil specifications.

Performance claims

New claims can be made against the 2024 ACEA Oil Sequences for Heavy-Duty Engines as of 15 October 2024.

From 15 October 2025 onwards, the 2024 ACEA Oil Sequences for Heavy-Duty Engines are mandatory for all new claims.

A new 2024 edition of ACEA Oil Sequences for Heavy-Duty Engines has been published to address engine developments that are driven by a combination of regulatory and performance needs, complemented by necessary test maintenance requirements.
