SPRINGFIELD, MA: Join Lead Museum and Outreach Educator Gabriel Norwood from Plimoth Patuxet Museums for his presentation, Creating Thanksgiving, Origins and Sources. The program will be held on Saturday, November 23 at 1:00pm in the museum theater. Admission is free, but reservations are required due to limited seating.

Historical context will be explored surrounding the 1621 Harvest Festival between Wampanoag and English people known today as Thanksgiving. Hear what it meant to people at that time and how it was interpreted and reimagined by later generations. 17th century reproductions and written sources will be used to parse out what's fact from fiction.
