The City of Lewiston is updating its annual Transportation Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and invites community input!
The CIP is a key planning document that identifies and prioritizes major transportation improvement projects to support mobility, safety, economic growth, livability, and responsible governance. It is updated yearly to reflect past progress, modify existing projects based on new data or community needs, and incorporate fresh ideas.
PLEASE NOTE: The CIP is for planning and prioritization purposes only; it is not a funding document. While the CIP establishes project priorities, it does not allocate budget or funding for project implementation.
HOW IT WORKS
The CIP update begins with a "Call for Requests" period, culminating in final adoption by the Lewiston City Council. From November 1 through November 30, 2024, residents are encouraged to submit new project ideas or suggest scope changes to current projects for consideration in the 2025 CIP update. Submissions received outside this period will be included in the following year's update (e.g., a December request will be added to the 2026 update).
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR REQUEST
Complete a fillable form for each project and submit it by November 30, 2024, via:
The form and current Transportation CIP are available at City Hall, the Public Works office, and online at https://www.cityoflewiston.org/380/Master-Plans.
