Initial Paving Operations Complete for State Route 82/El Camino Real Rehabilitation Project in Santa Clara County

Santa Clara County - Caltrans crews have completed the initial paving process on State Route 82/EL Camino Real (SR-82/ECR) as a part of the SR-82 Rehabilitation Pavement Project in Mountain View, Los Altos, and Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. Crews will continue to stripe lanes beginning Monday, November 25, 2024, and will continue until the end of February 2025*.

Striping will take place in both the southbound and northbound directions between Mountain View and Palo Alto. Activities will be conducted overnight, and lane closure will be required. Residents and businesses will experience normal levels of construction activities during this time. Please be assured that crews are utilizing noise monitoring equipment on-site to ensure compliance with standard noise regulations.

All work is weather dependent.

Hours of Activity: Monday to Friday, 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM
*Additional workdays will be added once Bike Lane is approved to begin.

Vehicles will not be permitted to park on SR-82 along the project location. "No Parking" signs will be posted.

The public will have limited and/or restricted access to sidewalks, curb ramps and several driveways while this work is taking place.
