On October 1st Darrin Figgins will be sworn in as Grant County Commissioner District 1. The announcement came after the Republican Precinct Committee consisting of 8 members interviewed 14 candidates for the vacated position. After deliberations the Committee voted and Mr. Figgins prevailed as the winner with his name being submitted to Governor Kelly for approval. Mr. Figgins will fill the unexpired term left by the resignation of Marty Long who was appointed to the Kansas House of Representatives 124th District in August.
