The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, attended the ceremony presided over by King Felipe VI at La Zarzuela Palace.

Sara Aagesen swore her office in the Salón de Audiencias of La Zarzuela Palace on a copy of the Constitution in the presence of the King, the president of the Government of Spain and the Minister for the Presidency, Justice and Parliamentary Relations, Félix Bolaños, who acted as notary major of the kingdom.

The event was also attended by the President of the Lower House of Parliament, Francina Armengol, and the President of the Constitutional Court, Cándido Conde-Pumpido.

After taking office, the new vice-president and minister for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge went to her ministry's offices to receive the portfolio from her predecessor, Teresa Ribera.
