Events around campus and Atlanta offer you the chance to celebrate Thanksgiving or turn the page to welcome the return of the holiday season.

Cheer on the Yellow Jackets

While Clean, Old Fashioned Hate takes place between the hedges in Athens on Friday, Nov. 29, there are multiple opportunities to enjoy Georgia Tech athletics on campus during the break.

Volleyball vs. Stanford - Wednesday, Nov. 27. O'Keefe Gymnasium, 3 p.m.

Men's Basketball vs. Charleston Southern - Wednesday, Nov. 27. McCamish Pavilion, 7:30 p.m.

Men's Basketball vs. Central Arkansas - Saturday, Nov. 30, McCamish Pavilion, 1 p.m.

Women's Basketball vs. Florida A&M - Sunday, Dec. 1. McCamish Pavilion, 2 p.m.

When: Nov. 27, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Where: 217 Rec Room, Brittain

Celebrate Thanksgiving with the Taiwanese Student Association and the Transfer Year Experience. The student organizations will host a dinner for TYE residents and transfer students looking for a taste of home or a chance to connect with the community.

Thursday, Nov. 28, 7:45 a.m.

Work up an appetite running through the city streets in the Invesco QQQ Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon. Runners, volunteers, and fans can get a head start on their Thanksgiving meal with food and festivities at the post-race celebration.

Where: Gas South Convention Center

Kicking off the holiday season, the Georgia Festival of Trees transforms the Gas South Convention Center into a decorative forest. The festival welcomes visitors of all ages for music, food, and events like photos with Santa, a gingerbread decorating competition, and more, with all proceeds benefiting charities dedicated to combating human trafficking and the exploitation of minors.

Get started on your holiday shopping or enjoy the sights, smells, and flavors of local food vendors at the annual Atlanta Christkindl Market. In addition to its usual Buckhead location, the market has expanded to Cobb County for 2024, offering a chance to "enjoy a unique fusion of traditional German festivities and the vibrant spirit of Atlanta."
