Training workshop on “Strengthening the response to trafficking in persons”

On September 24-25, 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan jointly with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) held a two-day training workshop for diplomatic and consular staff on effective mechanisms to counter human trafficking.

The seminar was attended by staff of diplomatic and consular missions working in various countries of transit and destination, as well as in the Republic of Tajikistan. The training workshop was held in the framework of the project "Improving Migration Management & Migrant Protection in Selected Silk Route Countries (2023-2026)".

This training provided participants with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to provide effective assistance to victims of human trafficking, as well as increased their capacity to counteract human trafficking in general.
