Homicide detectives are investigating a suspicious death after a body was found in SODO neighborhood Thursday morning.
At 11:17 a.m., officers responded to a report of a deceased 22-year-old woman in the 1700 block of 6th Avenue South. Police arrived, along with Seattle Fire Department (SFD), and located the victim. Shortly after arrival, SFD pronounced the victim deceased.
The King County Medical Examiner's Office arrived and requested that Homicide Unit detectives respond.
Officers secured the area until Homicide detectives and members of the Crime Scene Investigation Unit arrived and processed the crime scene.
Homicide detectives will be working to determine the circumstances that led up to the death.
The King County Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
No arrests have been made at this time.
