Public input requested for bridge replacement on Holmes St. over I 670, Oct. 21 Nov. 4

The online comment period will be held, 4 p.m. on Oct. 21- 4 p.m. on Nov. 4.

JACKSON COUNTY - MoDOT Kansas City is seeking public input regarding the bridge replacement on Holmes St. over I-670. The Holmes St. bridge over I-670 located to the west of the I-670, US-71, I-70 interchange in Kansas City, MO. The bridge is nearing the end of its service life and is scheduled to be replaced. The project includes upgrading to the infrastructure of the bridge, increasing the vertical clearance and improving the safety of the traffic and operations of the Holmes St. corridor. Construction will take place on Holmes St. from Truman Rd. south of I-670 to 14th St. north of I-670.

Those interested in learning more, can ask questions, and/or leave comments about the project plans on the project webpage from 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21 through 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4.For those who cannot access the online information, materials are available by request at the MoDOT district office located at 600 NE Colbern Rd. in Lee's Summit, MO. This project is scheduled to let in June 2025. Anticipated construction is currently scheduled for late Summer 2025 through Summer 2026. Motorists may experience various lane closures along the impacted routes during construction.
