To apply to vote absentee by mail or to check the status of an application already submitted, visit the Virginia Department of Elections Citizen Portal, where you can also confirm your voter registration. You can get an application to vote by mail at any Chesapeake Public Library branch and return it to the Voter Registrar's Office at 411 Cedar Rd. no later than October 25.
