Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2400 Hollister Road

October 14, 2024- Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2400 Hollister Road about 12:30 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 13).

The identity of the deceased male, 59, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richards and Officer C. Brothers reported:

The male was driving a black BMW 530i at a high rate of speed eastbound on Emnora Lane. As the driver approached the intersection with Hollister Road, he drove over a culvert that separates the neighborhood homes from the roadway and then struck a residence. The impact caused the vehicle to catch on fire.

Houston firefighters and paramedics were called. The fire was extinguished and the male was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

No one inside the damaged home was injured.

The investigation is continuing.
