Members of the Stony Brook University community are invited to share what Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) means to them.
Stemming from an "idea" by Maria Medin-Doce,a graduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Department of Hispanic Languages and Literature and current IDEA Grad working with CAS Communications, this short video series aims to highlight the unique and varied perspectives that contribute to the rich tapestry of Stony Brook. It encourages open dialogue and conversation among students, faculty and staff, while providing an opportunity to reflect on our roles in fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment.
Whether it's just one word or a short description, everyone at Stony Brook is invited to participate in these videos, which will be shared across social media channels and other digital platforms, to serve as engaging and thought-provoking content for all.
Presented by CAS, the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives (DI3), and the School of Communication and Journalism, the What's Your IDEA initiative launched earlier this fall.
