Please participate in the 2024 Engagement Survey

November 1, 2024

Dear UA Community,

I encourage you to complete our 2024 Employee Experience Survey, which will arrive in your inbox on Friday. Employee wellbeing - your wellbeing - is critical to our university system's success, and surveys such as this help us better understand where people are thriving and where they aren't, so we can adjust and make meaningful improvements to the workplace.

We've put the results from last year's survey to good use. Where actions could be taken immediately, they were-including increased Town Halls and engagement activities, modernizing the employee wellness program, and doing more to address mental health resources on campus. Other changes, like significant adjustments to state funding for compensation increases or rising healthcare costs, will take longer to manage. The attached presentation (from the September 2024 Board of Regents meeting) highlights actions taken as a result of the fall 2023 survey.

The Details
Benefit-eligible faculty and staff employees hired on or before September 30, 2024, will receive an email invitation on November 1, 2024, with a unique link to the survey. The email will be sent from the Qualtrics survey platform (UA Employee Feedback from experience@feedback.alaska.edu ), with the subject, "Invitation: UA Employee Experience Survey." This link is unique to you; please do not share it with others. Gmail may flag this Qualtrics email as a phishing attempt, but the email is legitimate.

The survey should take approximately 15 minutes, and your responses are confidential. After the survey closes, the results will be shared with university leaders and the university community, as well as on our UA Employee Experience Feedback website.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. We look forward to acting on your feedback. If you have any questions, please review the FAQs on the UA Employee Experience Feedback website or contact the UA HR Talent Acquisition and Development team at [email protected].

Sincerely,

Pat Pitney
President, University of Alaska
