PennDOT's Westmoreland County Maintenance Update – Week of September 30, 2024

Uniontown, PA - Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Westmoreland County Maintenance Manager Dave Forkey has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of September 30. All maintenance activities depend on weather and operations.

Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone's responsibility.

Base repair:

• Route 66 in Washington Township

Box culvert replacement:

• ​Route 4089 (Hulton Road) in Allegheny Township

• Route 981 (Second Street) in South Huntingdon Township

Fog sealing:

• Route 3077 (Penn Adamsburg Road) in Hempfield Township
• Route 4015 (Sun Valley Road) in Hempfield Township
• Route 4012 (Brush Creek Road) in Hempfield Township
• Route 4010 (Penn Manor Road) in Hempfield Township

Patching:

Slide repair:

Crews will be picking litter, replacing downed and updating signs, and addressing work orders on various state routes countywide.
