University of the Ozarks will present a pair of family-friendly Halloween events on Wednesday, Oct. 30, on campus.

The Office of Student Engagement will present Boo Bash from 5-6:30 p.m. at the University fountain on the campus mall. At 7 p.m., the music department and University Theatre will team up to present the All-Hallows' Eve Fall Concert in Munger-Wilson Chapel.

There is no admission to either event and the public is invited to attend. Children are encouraged to wear their costumes.

Boo Bash will feature University student organizations and clubs giving out free candy to children on the campus mall. The event will also include games and activities for children. The candy that will be distributed will be purchased by University officials.

The All-Hallows' Eve Fall Concert, titled "Chills and Chords," will feature the University Choir, under the direction of Katrina Twitty, as well as students from the theatre program. The event will include Halloween and fall-themed music and theatrics.

Dr. Macy Jones, assistant professor of theatre and communication studies, will direct the program, and Dr. Jisook Park, assistant professor of music, will serve as collaborative pianist.

Dr. Sharon Gorman, professor emerita, will also perform on the organ. Gorman started the annual All Hallows' Eve concert in 2001.
