Introducing the Buena Park Sustainabuddies™

The City of Buena Park, a leader in Orange County sustainability initiatives, proudly announces the launch of the Buena Park Sustainabuddies™-a team of illustrated mascots dedicated to educating and inspiring residents toward greener practices. This enthusiastic new crew will engage the community with practical tips, interactive social media features, and a new "Ask Earthy" column in the City's quarterly publication, the Buena Park Today.

The City of Buena Park is on the forefront of sustainability in Orange County. The City receives more renewable energy than neighboring cities through Orange County Power Authority, created an Office of Sustainability in April 2024, and is working on its first CEQA-qualified Climate Action and Adaptation Plan.

"We established the Office of Sustainability because we recognize our responsibility to ensure a healthy future for generations to come," says Mayor Susan Sonne. "Through the Sustainabuddies, we hope to empower our residents to make small changes that will have a significant, positive impact."
