LUBBOCK -Work to rebuild the southbound I-27 frontage road on-ramp bridge, located south of Yucca Lane, is scheduled to begin Monday, November 25. The work will require the on-ramp and the off-ramp at Exit 6B to be closed to all traffic.
Crews will begin closing the frontage road ramp starting at 9 a.m. Monday. Southbound I-27 Exit 6B will also be closed at this time. Traffic needing to access Loop 289 will be directed to use Exit 7.
Southbound I-27 frontage road traffic will continue flowing on the frontage road and connect with the I-27 main lanes south of Loop 289 .
The work is part of a $24.3 million project to improve mobility along I-27 in Lubbock County by rebuilding the Yucca Lane bridge.
