Motorcyclist Deceased Following Crash in Southeast Portland

A motorcyclist is deceased following a crash in Southeast Portland.

On Friday, September 20, 2024, at approximately 3:20 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to reports of a crash in the area of Southeast 55th Avenue and East Burnside Street. When they arrived, officers found a motorcyclist deceased following a crash with a vehicle. The driver of that vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with officers.

The Portland Police Bureau's Major Crash Team (MCT) is responding to the scene to investigate. During the investigation, East Burnside will be shut down between Southeast 53rd Avenue and Southeast 57th Avenue.
