On November 26, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of a male who had been stabbed at Portage/Tylehurst.
General Patrol members from the West District located the victim, a 19-year-old male, with serious injuries to his upper body. Police provided emergency medical care including the application of a chest seal. He was transported to hospital in unstable condition, and eventually upgraded to stable condition.
The K9 Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, searched the area as witnesses pointed out the suspects' direction of travel. Due to the successful track of a K9 member and their PSD, two suspects were located hiding under a structure in the 1500 block of Wolseley Avenue West.
The investigation was turned over to the Major Crimes Unit.

They were both detained in custody.
Investigators have determined that the victim and the two accused were not known to each other when they became embroiled in an altercation in the bus shelter and the assault occurred.
