Clothesline Project by Family Justice Center aims to bring awareness to Domestic Violence

This October for domestic violence awareness month, the Northern LightsVOICES committee invites you to participate in a powerful project that brings attention to the issue of domestic violence.

We will create a Clothesline Project where t-shirts decorated with personal messages, names, and symbols will be displayed to honor those affected by domestic violence. Each shirt will represent the strength, resilience, and memory of victims and survivors. Participants will help raise awareness, spread hope, and foster solidarity within our community by contributing their own message.

How to participate:

Bring an old T-shirt to decorate with a message of support empowerment or the name of a loved one affected by domestic violence

Come to the courthouse lawn to hang up your T-shirt on either October 25th or 26th.

Join us on October 25th or 26th to view the display and stand in solidarity with survivors.

This project is simple, but its impact is powerful. Together we can create a visual reminder of the lives impacted by domestic violence and bring hope to those who need it most.
