Community Narcan™ Training & Vending Machine Access Available At The Summit on the Park

In an effort to help prevent overdose deaths in Canton and surrounding communities, area residents are encouraged to attend the upcoming special training that will teach participants how and when to administer the life-saving medication Narcan™ in the event of an opioid overdose on Thursday, October 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Summit on the Park, located at 46000 Summit Parkway.

Anyone 18 years of age or older can attend this free training, which will be conducted by the Recovery Action Network of Michigan, to learn how to help save a life with Naloxone, which is an opioid overdose reversal drug that is often referred to by the brand name Narcan™. Participants will leave with a free Narcan™ kit; while supplies last. No pre-registration is required.

Free Narcan™ nasal sprays and Fentanyl test strips are also now available in a vending machine at the Summit on the Park, located on the west side of the facility near the Recreation entrance.
