SIUE's Davis Named MAC West Division Wrestler of the Week

SIUE freshman Drew Davis has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Wrestler of the Week.

The 125-pounder opened his collegiate career with a victory over a nationally-ranked wrestler, defeating No. 13 ranked Illinois' No. 17-ranked Ramazan Attasauov 8-5 at 125 pounds. His winning move was a takedown as time was about to expire in the third period.

The East Division Wrestler of the Week was Lock Haven's Wyatt Henson.

The Cougars return to action Saturday at the Tiger Style Invite in Kansas City, Missouri.
