published Oct. 18, 2024

The Colorado State University System's role promoting educational access and opportunity through its three degree-granting campuses and related activities and initiatives is among the central themes highlighted in the 2024 Impact Report, released by the System this month.

The reportprovides the most recent available enrollment and student success data for each campus while reporting on notable achievements from the past year in such areas as research, community outreach, and collaborative problem solving. It also includes updates on major programs and the activities of the System's core partners.

"What really stands out in thinking about the impact of the CSU System is the way that our work across different campuses, centers, and programs all supports our land-grant mission of serving the state and improving the lives of people here and across the world," said CSU System Chancellor Tony Frank. "This year, with new presidents on each of our campuses, we have a fresh sense of energy and optimism in meeting the challenges of this period and identifying opportunities to enhance our work."

The CSU System's three degree-granting campuses - the flagship research university in Fort Collins, a regionally focused Hispanic Serving Institution in Pueblo, and a fully online public university, CSU Global - together educate more than 50,000 students each year and have more than 332,000 living alumni worldwide. The System also supports a range of cross-cutting initiatives and activities focused on supporting communities and addressing societal challenges.

In recent years, a major focus for the CSU System involved launching CSU Spur, a public-facing campus located in north Denver designed to advance research, innovation, and education in areas related to food, water, sustainability, and human and animal health. In recent months, CSU took on responsibility for operating the campus, which has been fully open since January 2023.

The 2024 Impact Reportprovides snapshots of the CSU, CSU Pueblo, CSU Global, and CSU Spur campuses. It also describes international activities at CSU Todos Santos, located in Baja California Sur, Mexico, statewide work happening through CSU Extension, and collaborative efforts at the Sturm Collaboration Campus in Castle Rock and the Northeast Regional Engagement Center in Sterling.

The report provides an overview of the CSU System's economic development activities and details of a System initiative focused on increasing access to broadband service in rural communities in Colorado. It also includes updates on the work of core partners: the Center for the New Energy Economy, the Colorado Futures Center, the North American Agricultural Advisory Network, the Salazar Center, and Together We Grow.
