City Of Pleasanton Seeks Parade Participants and Volunteers For Hometown Holiday Celebration

PLEASANTON, Calif. - The City of Pleasanton invites the community to participate in this year's Hometown Holiday Celebration. The City is now accepting parade entries, volunteer applications and announcer audition sign ups. Online applications are available at www.hometownholiday.com. Applications for parade entries must be submitted by Monday, December 2.

WHY: Join the celebration and submit a parade entry, volunteer to help at the event, or audition to be an announcer.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to support various aspects of the event and play a key role in ensuring a fun and festive experience for the entire community. Individuals interested in volunteering can submit an online application and select from a variety of positions, such as parade marshal, stage decorator, set up and tear down, and other vital roles. Volunteer opportunities are open to individuals ages 14 and older. The Hometown Holiday Celebration parade features festive floats, cars, marching bands, and community organizations, and is followed by a community tree lighting and live entertainment. The parade is rain or shine. The City encourages the entire community to join this annual celebration of the winter holidays.

The City of Pleasanton is seeking parade announcers and will be holding auditions on November 7 and 13, from 6-7 p.m. at the Firehouse Arts Center. Individuals interested in auditioning for a chance to announce for the annual Hometown Holiday Celebration parade should submit an online application. Auditions are open to all applicants ages 16 and older.
