Key West Woman's Club Donates Teddy Bears

The Key West Woman's Club elves have been busy dressing teddy bears to donate to our first responders.

Key West Police Chief Sean Brandenburg and Fire Chief Alan Averette joined Woman's Club President Audria Wagner and Vice President Susan Collier at the Hellings Curry Museum on Duval Street to collect the dozens of custom bears.

Teddy bears serve an important role in emergency response. They comfort children in crisis, whether it's a fire, an accident, or domestic problems. First responders can use bears to calm an upset child and make a situation less traumatic.
