Code Blue Activation

The City of Santa Fe activated Code Blue at 1:30 this afternoon. The Code Blue procedure describes and directs City departments on operations required for the prevention of injury and death resulting from cold exposure of individuals and families within the City limits who are unsheltered during hazardously low temperatures and severe weather conditions such as heavy snow.
The Code Blue protocol includes increased outreach efforts and increased sheltering operations.
