VNPT gives nearly 7,000 gifts to people affected by typhoon and flood in Yen Bai

Sharing difficulties and supporting people to overcome the difficult period ahead, VNPT has recently organized and gave households in the province a support package of 6,917 gifts in kind with a total value of 2 billion VND.

Supporting localities affected by typhoon No. 3, VNPT has deployed a special support package for people and customers affected by storms and floods with a total value of 50 billion VND. Of which, 25 billion VND in kind comes from VNPT officials and employees, each contributing one day's salary and from the Group's social policy fund. Other 25 billion VND is in form of the services VNPT provides to support people in flooded areas.

VNPT is a key enterprise providing telecommunications and information technology infrastructure, with a widespread network infrastructure in Yen Bai province. Typhoon Yagi caused great damage worth over 17.5 billion VND to the unit's facilities and network infrastructure, and damage amounted to more than 8 billion VND to the homes of VNPT's officials and employees. However, in the spirit of sharing with the people and customers, VNPT has mobilized officials and employees to contribute and deduct from the unit's social policy fund to support an additional 50 million VND in cash, 500 family medicine bags with a total value of 75 million VND and free modem replacement for customers.
