The Butler County Health Department is now providing most services in a modular facility at 350 Airport Road in Greenville. In addition, a second location at 300 North College St., Greenville, will continue to provide Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and Environmental Services.

Following a June 30 fire which destroyed the long-standing Health Department building, the county and district staff have worked tirelessly to provide full services to clients. Since the fire, the Jefferson County Department of Health has graciously provided a mobile RV unit to allow temporary on-site services. On September 11, the modular unit located in the front lot of the original premises was opened for business.

"We greatly appreciate our local elected officials and partners for their support," Susan Wiggins, Nurse Manager with the Southeastern Public Health District, said. "The new unit is a long-term temporary solution during the rebuilding process. We are sincerely grateful for the help and support from so many people, departments, and districts who played a part in this endeavor. To put it simply, we are thrilled to be open for business!"

Services provided at the Airport Road location include Family Planning, STD, Cancer Detection, Immunizations and Vital Records. Influenza vaccines will be offered in the near future on a walk-in basis. COVID-19 testing will be provided by appointment.

Both Environmental and WIC services are provided at the secondary location at the Stabler Clinic on North College Street. Clients should enter the side/rear entrance for ADPH business.

You may reach either location by calling (334) 382-3154.
