REVISED: Slow moving traffic operation on SB I-29 in Platte County beginning at 9 a.m. on Oct. 21

Following the traffic operation, crews will close one lane of SB I-29 over the Platte River

PLATTE COUNTY - Motorists should be prepared for backups as a scheduled slow moving traffic operation (revised from full closure), led by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, will take place on southbound Interstate 29 beginning at approximately 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, near Camden Point and move southbound at 15-20 mph to just past Route HH.

Additionally, the ramp from MO 273/371 to SB I-29 will be closed during the operation. During the traffic operation, crews will set up equipment and a work zone for bridge work on SB I-29 over the Platte River.

After the operation, there will be a one lane closure in place on SB I-29 over the Platte River, south of MO 273/371, from (approximately) 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, through Monday, Nov. 4. All work times are approximate and weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Buckle Up and Phones Down. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
