TLH Ready for Busy Holiday Travel Season

November 22, 2024

Passenger traffic at Tallahassee International Airport is up 13% year-to-date over 2023, and the busy holiday travel season begins soon. With TLH on track to serve 1 million passengers this year, travelers are encouraged to prepare early for their trips.

Here are some tried-and-true tips to help passengers prepare for a safe and enjoyable air travel experience:

  • All liquids, gels and aerosols must be 3.4 ounces or less when packed in a carry-on bag. Certain foods, such as gravy, cranberry sauce, wine, jam and preserves - which are considered liquids or gels - must be packed in a checked bag if they exceed 3.4 ounces.
  • Keep all electronics and liquids, gels and aerosols 3.4 ounces or less inside your carry-on bag for screening at the security checkpoint.
  • Do not pre-wrap any gifts you pack and check with your airline regarding possible checked baggage fees.
  • TLH offers TSA PreCheck for an even easier screening process. Learn more about TSA PreCheck at TSA.gov/PreCheck.
