SACP congratulates Botswana's Umbrella for Democratic Change on its resounding electoral victory

Friday, 1 November 2024: - The South African Communist Party (SACP) congratulates Botswana's Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) on its landslide victory in the recent national elections.

The SACP also congratulates UDC President and human rights lawyer, Duma Gideon Boko, who now has the task, together with the leadership collective and the people of Botswana, of forming the government, in accordance with the country's constitution.

The SACP will continue to support the Batswana people's resolve to strengthen their country's democracy and national sovereignty and drive their country towards full social emancipation.
