UW and Wyoming SBDC Network to Host Business Strategy Workshop in Gillette Oct. 17

Small-business owners will have the opportunity to learn how to implement better strategies to generate revenue and achieve greater profitability Thursday, Oct. 17.

Alan Christensen will lead a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network workshop titled "Strategy Guidemap: Grow Your Business" from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Gillette College Technical Education Center, located at 3251 S. 4-J Road. To register, go here. Registration cost is $65, and seating is limited. Workshop co-sponsors are the Wyoming Business Council, the Gillette College Foundation, the Office of Economic Transformation and the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce.

The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Using Strategy Guidemap training, the workshop will help small-business owners learn advanced growth strategies; know the rules that govern growth for a specific business or situation; assess growth opportunities strategically and confidently to make strategic growth decisions; apply top growth strategies to sales to earn more; and improve results by making small adjustments.

Christensen, founder of Strategy Guidemap and an assistant professor of business at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, has led strategic growth engagements for more than 500 small businesses in many industries across 20 states. His client companies range from very small startups to multimillion-dollar businesses. As a professional trainer, he has helped thousands of small-business owners grow their businesses.
