Conemaugh Physician Group Welcomes Interventional Cardiologist Muhammad Hamza Saad Shaukat, MD

Conemaugh Physician Group - Cardiology is excited to announce the addition of Muhammad Hamza Saad Shaukat, MD, FACC, FASE, RPVI, to the team. Dr. Shaukat is a fellowship-trained Interventional Cardiologist who brings advanced expertise in cardiovascular care to the practice.

Dr. Shaukat completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of South Dakota, where he also served as a Clinical Instructor in Internal Medicine. He then pursued further specialized training in interventional cardiology at the prestigious Minneapolis Heart Institute at Abbott Northwestern Hospital/Hennepin County Medical Center.

Dr. Shaukat was honored as the Graduating Resident Teacher of the Year in 2020 during his residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. His academic achievements began at Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2015, graduating at the top of his class.

Dr. Shaukat's areas of expertise include non-invasive cardiovascular imaging, percutaneous coronary intervention, and the placement of ventricular assist devices. He is now accepting new patients at Conemaugh Medical Park.
