Veterans, learn the skills you need to launch a business

Veterans, servicemembers and military spouses interested in starting a Veteran-Owned Small Business are invited to a one-day Boots to Business Reboot Workshop Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Why it matters: Boots to Business Reboot is a special entrepreneurship training program for veterans, activity-duty service members and their spouses from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

  • Participants are introduced to the skills, knowledge and resources they need to launch a business, including steps for developing business concepts, how to develop a business plan, and information on SBA resources available to help.
  • The program is facilitated by subject matter experts from the SBA and their extensive network of skilled business advisors.

What's new: The workshop runs 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 12 at the Devoyd Jennings Business Assistance Center (BAC) at 1150 South Freeway.

Go deeper: The program is hosted by City of Fort Worth's Economic Development Department, Office of Veterans Affairs, University of Texas Arlington's Veterans Business Outreach Center and SBA.
