Panama City, Panama, November 19, 2024.- As a sign of its commitment to the environment and sustainable development, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), in alliance with the Fundación Tortuguías, released dozens of sea turtle hatchlings on Punta Chame beach, in the province of West Panama.
The initiative, framed within the "Sponsorship for the Conservation of Sea Turtles in Panama" program, seeks not only to protect these endangered species, but also to raise environmental awareness in local communities. The Turtle Foundation, with its experience and dedication, has been an essential ally in this preservation mission.
This action adds to CABEI's ongoing efforts as a development bank to promote environmental sustainability in the region. With initiatives such as this one, which protect coastal ecosystems and marine species, the multilateral reaffirms its commitment to future generations, demonstrating that economic development and environmental conservation can and should move forward together.
