U.S. News & World Report Ranks Regent University a Tier 1 Best National University for the Sixth Year

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Sept. 24, 2024) - Regent University has once again been named a "Top Tier" institution by U.S. News and World Report on its 2025 Best Colleges Rankings.

U.S. News assessed nearly 1,500 U.S. bachelor's degree-granting institutions before placing Regent in the top 25% of those measured. Colleges ranked #1 - #436 were considered Top National Universities, and Regent was included in this group, among universities like Princeton, MIT, Harvard, Stanford, and Yale. Regent received a similar recognition from U.S. News for 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024, and now 2025.

"Being ranked yet again by U.S. News & World Report among the nation's best colleges affirms the high value of a Regent University education," said Dr. William L. Hathaway, Regent University Provost. U.S. News also ranked Regent University in three other categories:

Best Undergraduate Computer Science Programs (Tier #328-584)
This ranking was determined by a peer assessment of deans and faculty members of computer science departments throughout the United States who rated the academic quality of peer institutions' computer science programs.

Best Undergraduate Psychology Programs (#423)
This ranking was determined by a peer assessment of deans and faculty members of undergraduate psychology departments throughout the United States who rated the academic quality of peer institutions' psychology programs. A total of 681 programs were included and Regent University moved up 66 spots in the rankings over last year, demonstrating an increased influence in the undergraduate psychology space.

Top Performers on Social Mobility Among National Universities (#153)
The social mobility ranking measures the extent to which schools enroll and graduate students who receive federal Pell grants. A total of 433 schools were included, positioning Regent in the top 35% of schools rated.

The Best Colleges rankings evaluate colleges and universities on a total of 17 key measures of academic quality-including student retention, student graduation rates, graduate earnings, full-time faculty, student-to-faculty ratio, financial resources and more.
